Last updated: 12.09.2025
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all visitors, parents/guardians, and children (“you”, “your”) who use Thema Early Years Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) indoor playroom and related facilities. By booking, entering, or using our premises, you agree to these Terms.
1. General Rules of Use
Our playroom is designed for children aged 0–5 years old. Entry is only permitted for children within this age range and their parent/guardian.
All children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult (18+) at all times. We do not accept responsibility for supervising children.
You are responsible for your child’s safety and behaviour while on the premises.
For hygiene and safety: socks must be worn in play areas, and shoes must be removed.
Food and drink are only permitted in designated café/lounge areas, not in play zones.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove individuals for unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour.
2. Health & Safety
You must ensure your child is in good health before attending. Please do not visit if your child has a contagious illness.
Parents/guardians must inform us of any allergies or medical needs if relevant to use of our facilities.
Our staff are trained in first aid, but responsibility for administering medication remains with parents/guardians.
We are not liable for accidents resulting from failure to follow safety rules or lack of supervision.
3. Booking, Payment & Cancellations
Entry is subject to availability and may require advance booking.
Payment is required at the time of booking or entry.
Bookings are non-refundable unless we cancel or close due to unforeseen circumstances.
You may reschedule subject to availability if at least 48 hours notice is given.
4. Use of Facilities
The playroom is divided into age-appropriate zones; you must ensure your child uses the correct zone.
Buggy storage, toilets, and changing/feeding rooms are provided for customer use at your own risk.
Personal belongings should not be left unattended; we accept no liability for loss, theft, or damage.
Café purchases are non-transferable and must be consumed on the premises.
5. Liability
We take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment but cannot eliminate all risks inherent to soft play.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse of equipment, failure to supervise children, or failure to follow our rules.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for entry on the day of the incident.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or other liability which cannot legally be excluded.
6. CCTV & Photography
CCTV operates throughout the premises for safety and security (see our Privacy Policy).
Parents/guardians may take photos of their own children but must respect the privacy of others. Commercial or promotional photography requires our prior written consent.
7. Food & Allergies
Our café provides snacks and drinks. Allergy information is available on request.
You are responsible for managing your child’s dietary needs. We cannot guarantee a nut-free or allergen-free environment.
No outside food or drink is permitted, except baby food or for medical/allergy needs.
8. Behaviour & Conduct
Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate conduct towards staff, parents, or children will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to remove or ban anyone acting in breach of these Terms.
9. Privacy
Our use of personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, available at http://www.themaearlyyears.co.uk/privacy-policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
